Bathtime routine

Jake is 16 months today...time is flying by...(though at the beginning we didn't think so much!) We are not potty training him or anything but he tolerates to sit on there..and he plays with the little toy potty from Ben.
Ben is into washing his own hair...
Jake is obsessed with the tootbrush. He says 'teeeeeth' and waits for me to put the toothpaste on the toothrush.
Jake also walks around holding his toys..
and Ben is the BEST big brother..he helps, kisses Jake goodnight and even picks fights with Jake..

Lloyd Harbor..

We had a fun day with The Krulls on Long Island. Shari's parents let us use their beautiful house in Lloyd Harbor for a little swimming, eating and relaxation. While the baby's took nice afternoon naps, Ben hung out with the older crowd and watched The Incredibles while the grown-ups sipped wine. It's always so much fun with GREAT friends. Then Spencer, Jake and Ben took us to the park and the beach! It was a full day!!

We all grabbed a child and jumped (well, stepped into the pool)..then Ben got some height on the water:
Jake wasn't thrilled with the float....
BUT!!! Ben had a blast!!!!He was waiting for bar service in his.....
and Jake grew an attachment to this toy of Spencer's....he carried it around all day like a suitcase..he walked holding it by the handle...

till our next excursion.....

Our Busy Weekend

then we met friends at Rye Playland...Ben had a great time with Matthew.
Jake didn't get to go one the rides with the boys (he went on some) but he sure thought he was one of them..


It was really HOT!!! So they took a break and walked the park...

They really did a lot in the three hours we were there...

then we spent today at the pool in Meadowbrook Pointe with Grandma and Grandpa

Bronx Zoo

We had a blast. Grandma Gail came with us. It was hot and humid but the boys did great. I took the boys on the merry-go-round..Jake kept saying 'down' b/c he had enough..i got a video clip of him before all that.



We rode the monorail at Wild Asia..Ben loved it..Jake could care less as this is how he spent the trip...
Ben ended on a high note..ice cream then a ride on the Tram..it was a fun and exhausting day!!

Golfing with Dad

With the weather being picture perfect, the boys have been able to get out and enjoy themselves. We've been getting them in the pool, taking them to the parks and just placing out near our house. Our latest fun thing to do on Sundays is to meet Daddy at the golf course after he finished the 18th hole and have lunch. Ben waits on the bench for the cart to come up the path.... The boys are SOOOO excited... then they got a ride to return the cart! We all eat lunch together next to the putting green. Today Ben brought his clubs and stayed to putt putt with dad after. Then we came home and cleaned the porch..Grandma Gail and Grandpa Rick stopped in for an impromptu BBQ on their way from Gt. Barrington to Woodbury. Jake was so jealous of Ben cleaning. He wanted to go outside and help..check out this footage.


Ben was sooo goofy and Jake couldn't wait to get out of the high chair and join Ben at the mini picnic table!

4th of July 2009

A GREAT weekend was had by all.
the boys experienced the great outdoors. Ben used his Stomp Rocket and boated with daddy!






Gramps was there too!

Boating was fun for the boys on Lake Mansfield, just around the corner from the house




!

Jakes walking is getting there..slowly..he'll totally do it w/ the stroller though..he's VERY jealous of baby Elias Marceau (the cabbage patch kid).
