Hanukkah and Christmas 2008

We are in the midst of 8 'crazy nights'. Hanukkah began with a family celebration complete with latkes, candles and presents! The boys loved it.

The boys also had their fill of gifts with Christmas..we did Christmas Eve at Grandpa Jim's house and Christmas Day with Grandma Judy. While Ben loved opening gifts to see what he got, Jake loved the wrapping paper and boxes!

Ben has a boo boo on his head from last week so he's been accessorizing with a blue band-aid..how cute!!

Check out the cute JACOB on his tush!

JACOB also turned 8 months old yesterday. He celebrated by playing his laptop while Ben played on his.

Tonight we gave the boys a bubble bath and it was the first time we put them in the tub together. We gave Jake devil ears with the bubbles.

More Turks

Just some professional pics that we love!

Turks and Caicos

We just returned from our amazing island adventure with Elmo and Friends from Sesame Street. Turks and Caicos, Beaches Resort was a tropical paradise for our entire family. Benjamin was in heaven. We saw the characters everyday including a character breakfast the first day we were there and Sesame Street Shows on the stage just about every evening. They even joined us poolside for photos.

Ben loved the waterslide, especially the swim up juice bar where he indulged in icey strawberry frozen drinks.

The afternoons were spend at Sesame Camp for a few hours (Jake even relaxed there too a few times). We ate, ate, ate tons.
Ben even learned how to play chess (with his own rules)...

Ben's favorite character is Abby Cadabby. The kids each picked what they liked in the gift shop..of course Jake chose Elmo, his favorite.

The beach was breezy so we didn't spend a lot of time there but Jake got to dangle his feet in the beautiful water...

Hanukkah is Coming

We are busy getting ready for Hanukkah. Ben has been preparing in school by making latkes and special cards and even a wooden Menorah which he will put candles in and light.
We are sad that he will miss the week of school leading up the the big Hanukkah party on Friday but its for a good reason.

We are all packing for our big vacation to Beaches, Turks and Caicos. We leave on Sunday. Monday morning we will be dining with Elmo and friends at a breakfast with the characters. There will be lots of pics to past after.

You can see the piles of stuff!

Jake has been doing great. He is up on all fours and gearing up to crawl. Last Saturday, Dec 6th, Mommy and Daddy watched as he actually took a half crawl forward. We were so excited to both be there to see it.

Thanksgiving in the Berkshires

We had a blast last weekend in the Berkshires. We drove up on Thurday morning while 'you know who' napped. Ben watched his movies in the car and mommy and daddy enjoyed a peacefully quiet car ride for the first time up there since we can remember. Basically, there was a lot of eating going on. Ben had fun sleeping at the house with Eli, Uncle Gary, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Brian and Grandma and Grandpa. Mommy and Daddy and Jake stayed at Grandma Sunny's house. It was a fun bonding weekend.

We also did early Hanukkah for the Michigan crowd so there were toys everywhere!!

Oh, and Jakes second tooth came through!
