Winter is here

New Baby Cousin

we had an amazing time visiting with Baby Jonah in Michigan. Steve stayed back with Jake who had an ear infection while i took Ben for an interesting plane ride to see Uncle Brian, Aunt Jenny, Baby Jonah and cousin Eli

Turkey Trot '09

Ben competed in his first race....a one mile Turkey Trot sponsored by the Town of Mamaroneck.. Check out our morning in photos.

But finished in 12 minutes flat...we are so proud of him!

Jake At School

Jake goes to Mommy and Me on Fridays. It is an action packed 90 or so minutes. They start with free play.....

and do a little arts and crafts if they want to....



Then we march to music class where Jake usually runs all over the place until they do his favorite baby song...then he pays attention and participates..


There is always cooking, mixing and baking and Jake is the first to participate..





And after a little more free play....

We end with a Shabbat Celebration with Challah, grape juice and yummy snacks.

We have been taking tons of photos pre-Halloween but this post is just a re-cap of our actual trick-or-treating experience. Ben ate the FASTEST dinner because he wanted to put on his costume and get our there!! Here the boys are prepping for a fun night out...

Ben was READY!! Nathaniel came over and they were off!!

seriously, it was trick-or-treating in record time. Jake, on the otherhand, was just happy to be out after dark! He was walking with his pumpkin...
He encoutered a friendly dog... and when he was given candy.....he brought it back to the person who gave it to him...
we did manage to shove a few pieces in his pumpkin so he sat down and inspected it. Notice how sweaty this Monkey was (it was 75 degrees)
Ben and Nathaniel had a blast.
After it was all over, the boys collected their thoughts and counted their loot..



they each ate one piece of candy before bed. (Jake had his first Nestle's Crunch...he like it!) and Ben's favorite is Kit Kat though he is enjoying sampling them all.

Halftime

Today Ben had a birthday party. Afterwards, we hung out and snaked and watched some football. Here's a shot at halftime:

ADDING THAT JAKE WENT PEE PEE IN THE POTTY LAST NIGHT..... VERY EXCITING STUFF HAPPENING HERE...!!!!!

enjoying Fall

Last weekend we had Fall fun in the Berkshires with the ultimate pumpkin picking experience.


We went off into the pumpkin patch at Howden Farms in Sheffield Mass. We fell in love with not one, not two but three L A R G E pumpkins...

So Jake and daddy went to search for a wheel barrow. Once they came back, Ben showed them exactly where we placed our pumpkins.

and the kids too....


Jake thought he was Hercules...

There were little pumpkins to get too..




so we got lots~
Then we went raspberry picking.


The bushes were right next to the pumpkin patch.
Jake figured out that he can just snack right from the bushes...and he helped fill the pints. Ben loved it too! Then we went to Grandma Sunny's house for brunch. We gave her a baby pumpking and took home about 7 total for us!
